Cuerdas de Nylgut®.
Hasta la
mitad del
siglo XX para el Charango,
Ronroco, Cuatro, Timple Canario se utilizaron solo cuerdas
de tripa, en las que la rapidez en la respuesta se juntaba con la
brillantez en
los matices, siendo la sonoridad muy diferente respeto a las actuales
cuerdas
de nylon.
Nuestro
trabajo de investigación ha tenido siempre como objetivo
lograr
realizar una cuerda artificial que tuviera las mismas propiedades
acústicas de
las cuerdas de tripa, sin sus típicos defectos (escasa
duración, altos precios,
excesiva sensibilidad a las variaciones atmosféricas).
Con
Nylgut® hemos conseguido eliminar estos defectos, logrando
reproducir
el timbre y los matices originarios del Charango, Ronroco, Cuatro,
Timple Canario, garantizando al mismo tiempo una excelente estabilidad
de la
intonación, superior respeto a la que puede producirse con
las
mejores cuerdas
de Nylon.
Atención: antes de
colocar las cuerdas comprobar que las
ranuras
de la
cejuela superior no tengan excesiva profundidad y sean perfectamente
lisas y
sin asperidades o ángulos cortantes.
Para lograr al cabo de pocos minutos una perfecta estabilidad de la intonación, se aconseja, en el tensar, estirar cada cuerda paralelamente a la tapa y a la altura de la boca. Suspender al notar que la cuerda cesa de alargarse.
How to stretch Nylguts:

-Until the 1950’s, only gut cords were used for the Charango, Ronroco Timple canario and the Cuatro, in which the quickness of the answer was joined with the brilliance of the tones, being the sound very different with respect from the present nylon cords.
Our investigative work has always had the objective to make an artificial cord that had the same acoustic properties of the gut cords, without its typical defects (short life time, high prices, excessive sensitivity to the atmospheric variations).
With Nylgut® we have been able to eliminate these defects, reproducing the original sound and tones of the Charango, Ronroco and Cuatro and at the same time guaranteeing an excellent tuning stability, with respect to which it can be produced with the best Nylon cords.

Attention: before placing the cords verify that the grooves of the superior bridge does not have excessive depth and they are perfectly smooth and without sharp or cutting edges or angles.
In order to obtain after few minutes a perfect stability of the tuning, it is advised, while tightening, pull each cord parallel to the sound board around the sound hole. Stop pulling when you notice that the cord stops stretching.
